Fourth
Annual Mystery Series Week October
7-13, 2001 Mystery
Series Week is a celebration of continuing characters in crime fiction--cops,
private eyes, and amateur sleuths from all walks of life, from 55 BC to the 22nd
century. Whether
you like your mysteries dark and brooding or light and cozy, high action or intellectual
puzzle, there are hundreds of books to choose from. Two-thirds of all new mysteries
currently being published feature a series detective--more than 500 novels last
year alone. Readers
today can choose from over 7,500 adult mysteries featuring more than 1,500 continuing
characters--all from living writers--along with thousands more from classic authors.
Mystery Series Week
and countless other reasons to celebrate can be found on Chase's
Calendar of Events.
